Promega Fall Art Showcase Features House of the Spirit: The Work and Collection of Danny Simmons
MADISON, WISCONSIN (August 31, 2011)
The Promega Fall Art Showcase presents "House of the Spirit: The Work and Collection of Danny Simmons". The showcase is pleased to host Danny Simmons, a nationally known abstract painter, poet and curator from New York. His work has been shown at galleries and museums in New York, New Jersey, Georgia, and Michigan. The exhibit, House of the Spirit, features his paintings, including some done on bark cloth from Congo, along with many impressive African masks and figurative sculptures from his private collection. At the opening reception, Danny will be available to talk about his work and collection.
The showcase opens Tuesday, September 20, 2011 and continues through December 1, 2011 at the Promega BioPharmaceutical Technology Center in Madison. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. A public art opening reception will be held on Tuesday, September 20th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm.

The Biopharmaceutical Technology Center, located on 5445 East Cheryl Parkway two miles south of Highway 12/18 (Beltline) off Fish Hatchery Road, was developed, in part, to provide Promega employees and community members a place to pursue these goals.
