Determining Microbial Cell Viability with the BacTiter-Glo™ Assay and the Tecan Infinite® 200 PRO Multimode Microplate Reader

Abstract
This Application Note describes use of the BacTiter-Glo™ Microbial Cell Viability Assay on the Infinite® 200 PRO filter-based multimode reader, using the luminescence module. During testing, the BacTiter-Glo™ Assay was used to detect the bacterial burden of commonplace items such as a computer mouse, a lab floor, tap water, toilet water and a dish-washing sponge. The results demonstrate the compatibility of the Infinite® 200 PRO instrument with the BacTiter-Glo™ Assay.
